5 Artists From the UNDRGRND Collection

UNDRGRND DIGS is a periodical feature showcasing artists that the UNDRGRND curators dig. We sift through social media and NFT platforms to find the best artists waiting to be discovered. UNDRGRND believes in the artists we feature and we will purchase NFTs from each artist featured. Purchases will be airdropped to reward UNDRGRND community members.

Hailing from Jakarta, Indonesia, Ruasgaris works in an advertising agency. Ambitious, detailed and visionary, he is very fond of geometric art and mathematical or physical formulas, which inspire his works. He loves to see combinations of lines of patterns visualized with diagrams. He often uses pencils, crayons and watercolors to draw, but he also uses an iPad. What he wants to convey through his creativity is simple: a breathtaking experience in something minimal, "I want to point out diagrams that matter." Ruasgaris's works are neat and simple, using techniques that make this simplicity come to life and evolve.

PersonChen is an architect from Taiwan who has drawn nothing but architecture for over 25 years. He combines drawing styles including brutalism, magical realism and minimalism. He believes instinct and rationality are important to an architect and sees his work as representing these contrasting thoughts at once. New to the NFT market, he began minting in 2022 when he met Tezumie (a generative artist) and published their first collab work (un)existing on f(x)hash. It was a rare and experimental collab that combined hand-drawn architecture and generative art. After this successful collab, PersonChen is determined to join generative artists and will drop his solo generative work in the future. PersonChen works are very thorough, mature and thoughtful, showcasing his professional approach to art.

Ronosart is an illustrator from Indonesia. His retro style art contains a lot of depth that the artist helps guide the viewer to interpret them with descriptions. The complexity of each piece allows us to find new meaning with each new attribute discovered. Space-related topics reign supreme, but Ronosart is working on a new collection to expand his mastery of this nostalgic comic style.

Ariu Azadi is an expressionist artist from Iran. The idea of his work is to express yourself by trying to see the reality of the world in the genres of dark art, mixed media, expressionism and minimalism. He likes to combine physical work with digital painting and photography. The feelings are strong and expressive, while the lines reflect the images' chaos and darkness. The audience looking at the photos looks for answers to their internal questions, but finding them is not so easy.

COMMUNITY DIGS: Leily Boom

Leily Boom captures the potential of NFTs as fine art using bright flashing neon color in the same manner as Sutu. Slow and hypnotic or fast and chaotic each piece will capture the attention of any viewer when displayed. And while some may appear chaotic, they are perfectly controlled through Leily's intricate patterns. Many of her works focus on a psychedelic subject and could easily transition into a very successful PFPF project should she ever decide to go that route. Whether in the future metaverse or in an NFT display in someone's home, Leily's work is paving the road for future digital artists. - Bored Calvin (BAYC #8855)

Each UNDRGRND DIGS will feature artists our curators have purchased for the UNDRGRND Collection. UNDRGRND will airdrop pieces from our collection to community members via giveaways.
